Women and Stereotypes
Really good blog. It talks about the show 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' which I really love!
Are the women on this shows and similar shows really independent or does the word 'housewives' show otherwise? Most seem to just live off their partners and try and look about 20 when they are really like 40. They just come across as desperate and act like immature girls with their cat fights. Does money really make a women elegant? I don't think so...they just look down on everyone else!
totally agree, i hate the women on them, they act like they are in high school ! i think wealth makes some people arogant and snotty !!!
ReplyDeleteIts like we saw in the 'toddlers and tiaras' post, another form of stereotyping. I'm sure not all rich, beautiful women are like this but it often seems the case that it's these types of women who are the subject of the media.
ReplyDeleteSure you're going to get walking cliché's. And I guess if their independent enough to take advantage of rich partners then they can surely make their way in life on any road they choose.
